Connie Horn

Connie brings together a unique set of specialties that are ideal for medical practice management and EMR implementation. After nine years as an associate in an accounting firm, she used her accounting background to full advantage, working for eight years as a practice administrator and consultant with specialties in EMR implementation and medical billing and coding.

Having opened new practices and implemented EMR in the practice she managed, she brings a “real world” knowledge that is irreplaceable. Experience and continuing education in patient flow management, personnel management, specialty coding, insurance claims submission, credentialing and legal requirements (such as HIPPA) give her a complete knowledge of medical practice management.

Prior to joining Crown, Connie was Chief Operations Officer of a software development and operations consulting firm. She was directly responsible for all aspects of software training and client implementation, from oversight of software documentation to training in the field. Her work required her to work with many different client operational needs, both as a consultant and as the interim manager during implementations. When in the field, she was often the primary systems trainer, as well as manager for the implementation.

Upon joining Crown, Connie spent six weeks in comprehensive training at the eClinicalWorks corporate training facility to become fluent in the latest version of their software system. Connie brings to Crown a complete knowledge and understanding of practice management and the requirements of EMR selection and implementation. Her extensive software training and implementation experience gives her a unique ability to see such implementations completed to the fullest benefit and effectiveness.
